I work with individuals, couples and families.
While individual therapy can certainly be very helpful in getting rid of your anxieties and problems or at least alleviating some of the symptoms, often it is not enough to sustain these changes because as a rule, individual’s problems are underpinned by family interactional patterns. To achieve a truly lasting change, family therapy focusing on those patterns may be a lot more effective. Moreover, it is also cost-effective, as it is not just you but also your closest family members and the nature of your relationships with them that benefit from therapy in the same amount of time and at the same cost.
In over a decade of practicing, I have worked successfully with most situations. I have a particular interest in the following:
- Couple therapy
- Parent-child relationships
- Mother-daughter relationships
- Mid-life transitions
- Adolescents and young adults
- Cross-cultural issues
